Community Service is not a requirement for high school graduation.
Requirements:
If a student logs 50 hours of community service they will be eligible for a seal on their diploma.
If a student logs 100+ hours of Community Service they will get a gold cord to wear at graduation along with their diploma seal.
Documentation Process:
Please submit this form for each community service activity you complete during the 2025-2026 school year. Make sure that your information is accurate, as LHS teachers, counselors, and administrators will be able to review submissions. You will receive an email containing your submission so that you can keep track of your total community service hours for the school year. All forms are due by 11:59PM on Friday, February 13th, 2026. Teachers and sponsors will be checking for accuracy and hours, so make sure you are submitted correct information. Students needs 50 community service hours to earn a seal on their diploma, and 100 community service hours to earn a cord and a seal on their diploma.
