The mission of the Lanier High Chess Club is to cultivate strategic thinking, discipline, and leadership through the timeless game of chess. We exist to have fun while promoting a love for language and culture! French Club is open not only to students enrolled in French classes, but to all who share an interest in French Culture. Activities are social and cultural in nature and will include several events involving: food, music, art, films, celebrations of holidays in the French-speaking world, etc. Dues are $25 and include a t-shirt. Members of French Honor Society are already members of French Club and DO NOT have the pay the French Club membership dues of $25.

Mission Statement
The French National Honor Society's mission is to recognize students' outstanding scholarship in the study of French. Students who meet the membership criteria will be welcomed in at an induction ceremony (by invitation only), receive and get to wear a tri-colored honor cord at graduation, and receive a membership certificate and French Club t-shirt. Important: The FRENCH CLUB t-shirt may be provided each year of FNHS membership; however, in order to receive a t-shirt as an FNHS member, students must attend French Club meetings and request one before the yearly t-shirt order is placed.
French National Honor Society provides a way to focus activities around the French language and francophone cultures and to encourage participation in French-related extracurricular activities. In addition, students can acquire leadership skills by serving as officers of French Club and FNHS (FNHS members are given priority in the leadership board voting process), directing the initiation ceremony, participating in community service and tutoring, or leading other chapter events.

Mission Statement
National Honor Society is a prestigious organization that invites members based on their cumulative GPA of 94 or above. In addition to being an honors organization, we feel that service is an integral part of what we do, and we will be hosting numerous service projects throughout the year to help our community. Membership is by invitation only in the spring to all rising 11th graders. There is an application process, with new members being notified in May. Dues cover national dues, purchase of stoles for seniors, induction pins and certificates, and various incidentals during the year.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote the Spanish language and culture through different activities such as watching Spanish & Latin American films and enjoying Spanish and Latin American foods. In addition, we will conduct a service project where students may contribute materials/money and /or time to benefit a community in need. It is the intent of the Spanish Club to find opportunities to connect first with the Spanish-speaking community within the school’s area. By joining the club, you’ll be able to enjoy awesome Hispanic foods and beverages, and celebrate the language, art, music, history, etc. with members of the coolest club at Lanier High School.
